Lislea House Self Accommodation Suites
Lislea House was built in 1892 as the residence and surgery for Dr. Wynne. It is a two-storey Victorian Mansion which has been fully restored back to its original splendour as well as having had some modern days comforts added. It is located within the City’s central business area, close to the Main Street and across from the Colac Hospital. There are a good selection of good restaurants and food outlets in close proximity.
The House can be let in its entirety or by individual floors, which are both fully self-contained and tastefully furnished. Both floors have high ceilings and are very spacious.
The Murray Suite takes up the entire top floor and is accessible from the lobby via the original staircase and is fully self-contained. The Suite consists of three bedrooms, two with Queen Size beds and the other with a King Size bed which can be converted to two King Size Singles. Linen and bedding are of the highest quality and are sure to impress.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with large refrigerator, oven and hotplates, dishwasher, microwave oven, electric jug and toaster with ample cupboard space and food preparation areas. It also has a large open plan dining area, which seats 6 persons comfortably, with the original fire place and stained glass windows being a feature of this room.
The spacious bathroom has both a shower and bath along with a period double sink vanity unit, there is also a separate toilet.
A large lounge room with original stained glass windows and fireplace and mantle intact is equipped with large flat-screen TV and is tastefully furnished. It has access to a large balcony with outdoor setting, facing Corangamite Street.
The Gellibrand Suite is on the ground floor and has the charm and character of a period stately home. The spacious lounge and dining rooms and two bedrooms as well as the fully equipped kitchen and bathroom and second toilet makes this a memorable place to stay. Together with the Murray Suite, makes this an ideal venue for a business retreat , wedding party or large family gathering. The ground floor facilities are wheelchair accessible.
There are two bedrooms each with Queen Size bed and original fire places. They are tastefully furnished and both linen and bedding are of high quality.
The bathroom has a large double sized shower and period fittings, there is a separate dressing room with dressing table and full-sized mirror. There is also a separate toilet adjacent to the bathroom.
The large dining room has been restored in true period style and has been tastefully furnished .
The original fire place, servery from the kitchen and access to the outside verandah makes this room one of the unique features of this house.
The lounge room is exceptionally spacious and furnished with comfort in mind. There is a large flat-screened TV , standard lamps and period paintings give the room a lovely homely atmosphere.
The kitchen i fully equipped with large fridge, dishwasher, microwave, jug and toaster. There is a breakfast bar as an alternative to the formal dining room.
